When you use darydary, you're trusting us with your information — and we take that seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage or delete it at any time.

darydary ("we," "us," or "our") is a social calendaring application. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

By using darydary, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

1a. Information You Provide

•       Name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account

•       Calendar events, titles, descriptions, locations, and attendee data you create or import

•      Friend connections you establish within the app, and any calendar event details you choose to share with them

•       Preferences and settings

1b. Information from Google OAuth

When you connect your Google account, darydary accesses only the data covered by the permissions you grant. We request only the scopes necessary for the features you use:

•       openid — to verify your identity

•       email (userinfo.email) — your Google account email address

•       profile (userinfo.profile) — your name and profile photo

•       https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly — to read your existing calendar events

•       https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events — to create, edit, and delete calendar events on your behalf

•       https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.calendarlist — to list calendars available to sync

•       https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.settings.readonly — to read timezone and locale for accurate event display

•       https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.freebusy — to read free/busy availability blocks for social scheduling and availability matching features

darydary's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

1c. Other Calendar Providers

If you connect other calendar providers (Apple iCloud, Microsoft Outlook) we access only the calendar data necessary to display and sync events, consistent with the permissions you grant.

1d. Usage and Technical Data

•       Device type, operating system, browser version

•       IP address and approximate location (city/region level)

•       Log data: features used, time and date of interactions

•       Crash reports and performance diagnostics

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve darydary:

•       To authenticate you and maintain your account

•       To display your calendar events and enable scheduling features

•       To create, modify, or delete calendar events when you take actions in the app

•       To enable social features: sharing availability, coordinating plans, connecting with friends

•       To send notifications and reminders you have requested

•       To diagnose bugs, improve performance, and develop new features

•       To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not use your calendar data to show you ads. We do not use Google user data to train machine learning models.

3. How We Share Your Data

3a. With Other Users

darydary is a social app. Once another user accepts your friend request, you may choose to share calendar event details — including event titles, times, descriptions, and locations — with that friend, beyond basic free/busy availability. This sharing only occurs between mutually accepted friends and is controlled by you through the app's sharing settings; it is never visible to other darydary users by default. Your name and profile photo are also visible to your accepted friends.

3b. With Service Providers

We use trusted third-party providers to operate darydary. These providers may access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose:

•       Cloud infrastructure and hosting

•       Analytics and crash reporting

•       Authentication services

3c. Legal Requirements

We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of darydary or our users.

3d. Business Transfers

If darydary is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before any such transfer and give you the opportunity to delete your account.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.

5. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure. Please notify us at hello.darydary@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We will notify affected users in the event of a confirmed data breach.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at hello.darydary@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

darydary is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Data Transfers

darydary is operated in the United States. If you are outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. We take appropriate safeguards to protect your data consistent with this Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
